Mark began his journey in the arts at Parsons School of Design in 1982 and earned his B.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1986. After graduating, he returned to New York to work as a magazine designer. In 1986, he dedicated a year to painting in Berlin, Germany, and later traveled to Buenos Aires in 1990 to continue his work in fine arts. Since moving with his family to California in 2000, Mark has been creating paintings and drawings from his Oakland studio.
